Voter Registration

**To vote in an election, this application must be completed & returned
to the Elections office no later than the 25th day before the election.


To register to vote:
Please print and complete a VOTER REGISTRATION FORM  {en espanol}  (PDF)
and mail to our office:

                                 PO Box 787
                                 Carthage, NC  28327
 
You may also obtain forms at:
  • Local Town Halls
  • Local BB&T offices
  • Public Libraries
HELPFUL TIPS:
  Please answer the questions at the beginning of Section C:
"Are you a Citizen?" and "Will you be 18 before the next election?"
( if these questions are not answered we cannot process your application)

  Please use FULL, LEGAL names:
 (first, middle and / or maiden, Last)
NO initials

  Be sure to give your COMPLETE residence address AND your correct Mailing address. 
 
(If mail is returned your record could become inactive)

  ID Requirements:
(A valid NC Drivers License
or ID # and or the last four digits of your Social
Security Number)  If you have none of these, please contact this office: 947-3868

  Be sure to SIGN the application
(NO application can be processed without the applicant's PERSONAL signature or witnessed mark;
Power of attorney is NOT accepted.)

   Once registered you will be mailed a voter information card as confirmation of your registration.

The mission of the Moore County Board of Elections is to maintain voter registration for the citizens of Moore County, conduct all elections held in Moore County, to include all of its eleven municipalities; assist persons desiring to file for office; administer the Campaign Reporting Act; and ensure the enforcement of all election laws of the State of North Carolina.
