POLICE VEHICLES


 PURSUANT to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina sealed bids titled "IFB 2015-03 POLICE VEHICLES,” may be furnished to the County of Moore, Financial Services, Attn: Terra Vuncannon, 206 S. Ray St., Carthage, North Carolina 28327 until 2:00 pm Thursday July 31, 2014. 
 The intent of the County is to obtain nine (9) Police Vehicles – 2014 Dodge Chargers, for the County of Moore.  Instructions for submitting bids and complete specifications for the product and services desired may be obtained at the above address during regular office hours or by the link below.  The County of Moore reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 
Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina” sealed bids will be received until 1:30 pm on July 24, 2014, in Commissioner’s Meeting Room in the Old Courthouse located at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, North Carolina 28327, from General Contractors for the renovations of the Currie Building (Moore County bid number IFB 2015-01) located at 105 West Saunders Street at which time and place bid received will be opened and read.  The project will consist of interior and exterior renovations to address demolition and construction of new room layouts, upgrade of the interior finishes, construction of an elevator shaft and installation of an elevator, removal and replacement of the existing roof and fascia.  The project will also address modifications and upgrades to the Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical building systems.

A refundable deposit of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) plus shipping is required for printed set.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on June 26, 2014 in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, NC 28327 follow by an escorted tour of the Currie Building at 105 West Saunders Street, Carthage, North Carolina 28327. 

Complete plans and specification will also be open for inspection in the offices of the Associated General Contractors, Carolinas Branch of Charlotte, Triangle Minority Contractors Plan Room in Durham and Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas. 

Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in an amount of not less than (5%) five percent of the amount of the bid.  Security may be in the form of cash, certified check or Bidder’s Bond.

Contractors are advised that Moore County has a verifiable (10%) ten percent goal for participation by minority businesses in the total value of work for which a contract or contracts are awarded pursuant to N.C. G. S. Section 143-128.

Performance and Payment Bonds are required in an amount equal to (100%) one hundred percent of the Contract price.

Moore County reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals and waiver informalities in bidding.
