The function of the Conservation District is to take available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land user.

District Board Members:The Moore County Soil and Water Conservation District is a legal subdivision of state goverment.It consists of five supervisors. Three elected in the general election and two appointed by the Soil and Water Conservation Commission.The District Supervisors are non- salaried officials.The Moore SWCD Board meets every second Thursday of the month at 4:00pm in the district conference room at the Agricultural Center in Carthage.
