Let our Family Caregiver Specialist,
Peggie Kennedy, inform you of
the many resources that exist for caregivers; particularly 1)
those caring for adults over 60 who have a chronic illness or
disability and are living at home, and 2) grandparents over 60 with
the responsibility of raising their grandchildren.

Volunteer Respite Program
Volunteers complete a 4-hour training course which prepares them to
provide in-home respite services to caregivers who need a break.
Not all caregivers situations are appropriate for volunteer help;
therefore, an assessment must be conducted prior to participation in
this program. Limited funding is available for paid respite
services in the event that a volunteer cannot be utilized.
