The Home Improvements / Repair Program improves or updates the condition of an older adult's home, within a per house limitation, such as constructing hand rails, ramps, steps, installation of grab bars, smoke alarms, weatherization, etc.  Our Home Improvement / Repair Program was recognized by the National Association of County Commissioners as an outstanding program for  1992-1993 with our association with the U.S. Army Special Forces.  Special Forces of the U.S. Army, Civil Air Patrol, and various civic and church organizations, assist with CP&L weatherization, cutting firewood, and minor home renovations for handicap needs.
