4-H / Youth

Moore County 4-H is an investment in your child's development and future!

4-H is the world's largest out of school youth organization with nearly six million participants nationally. The 4-H mission is to empower youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnerships with caring adults to create sustainable community change.

Through non-formal, research-based, hands-on education activities, 4-H participants gain knowledge and life skills enabling them to become positive, productive, capable, and compassionate members of their communities. 4-H has three primary program initiatives: citizenship, healthy living, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

4-H provides opportunities for youth ages 5 to 18 years old. 4-H is open to farm kids and city kids - you do not have to live on a farm to experience 4-H!

4-H Online 4-H Enrollment and Event RegistrationSign-Up

We are so excited that you are interested in joining us! We are now using an online enrollment system called 4HOnline. This system should make it much easier to join 4-H and keep track of your clubs, projects and activities. Please be aware that there are many project options available when enrolling in 4HOnline, but not all of them are offered in Moore County. If you have further questions, you can always contact the Kaley Lawing, 4-H Youth Development Educator at 910-947-3188.

We are always looking to start new and various clubs throughout the community. If you do not see a club that interests you, please contact us to find out how to start a new club!

4-H Enrollment

Active members can be between the ages of 5-18 (as of January 1). Prior to any participation in 4-H events and activities, we ask families to enroll each youth participant. There are no enrollment fees to become a member and your family does not have to participate with a club. Once you enroll, you will receive emails, information about available program opportunities and your child will be covered under our general 4-H accident insurance (only covers while at a 4-H sponsored event/activity).

We have transitioned enrollment to an online system called 4HOnline. If you are enrolling as of today, please begin to set up a family profile through 4HOnline. For more information or help go to NC 4HOnline or call our office at 910-947-3188.
