Overview

SHIIP is the Senior Health Insurance Information Program, a division of The North Carolina Department of Insurance. SHIIP provides trained counselors to provide unbiased counseling to people needing assistance with Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare drug plans, and long-term care insurance. The Department of Aging has a SHIIP coordinator and local volunteers that can provide you with information regarding coverage, policy comparisons, and paperwork. Check our monthly newsletter and/or calendar for Medicare 101 presentations.

If you would like a Medicare Benefit review from the Moore County SHIIP office during Medicare Open Enrollment, give us a call. We need you to help us by completing and submitting a Medicare Plan Finder Tool form BEFORE we meet with you. This will save you time and allow us to help a larger number of Moore County Medicare recipients by having the actual search completed and ready to review with you when we meet.
