New Vaccination Appointment Process

Anyone age 12 or older is eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.  Appointments can be scheduled with the Health Department by calling 910-947-SHOT (7468).  Those who are ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can provide consent for vaccination.

Following the recent recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Moore County Health Department is now administering third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to people with moderately to severely compromised immune systems who have already received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Third doses/boosters are currently by appointment only and no walk-ins will be accepted.  Appointments can be made by calling 910-947-SHOT (7468)

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Moore County is now vaccinating Groups 1-5.  Anyone age 12 or older (or age 12-17 if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian) can call Health Department directly to schedule a vaccine appointment.  Detailed information about each vaccine group is online at (English) or (Spanish).

In addition to vaccine clinics hosted by the Health Department, anyone eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine may also schedule an appointment online with FirstHealth at or by calling (910) 715-SHOT between 8:30 am and 5 pm.  If calling outside of these hours, you will need to leave a message and someone from FirstHealth will call you back.

Additionally, eligible patients of Pinehurst Medical Clinic can schedule a vaccination on PMC's website (

Movement through the phases/groups is dependent on vaccine supply and how quickly each priority group can be vaccinated.  For this reason, there are no set dates for when each phase will begin.  As we enter new phases, notifications will be sent through state and local media outlets and posted to the Moore County Health Department website with instructions on how, when, and where newly eligible priority groups can be vaccinated.  Please continue to monitor this page for updates and further instructions.
