Do you need to find a new home for your pet?  Let us HELP!

We all encounter circumstances that are difficult to manage and many of them impact our pets!  The Animal Center of Moore County is dedicated to helping the community achieve the best outcomes possible.  Here are two ways we can help:

  1. The Animal Center can connect owners with resources like pet supplies and pet food to help them through a temporary challenge.  We can also supply references to other providers in the community that may be able to provide the assistance needed to help you keep your pet.    Call us at (910) 947-2858 for more information!
  2. Provide us with one or two photographs of your pet and a brief description.  When a move, loss of a job, family emergency or other hardship demands re-homing, we will post the pet on our web site free of charge.  The Animal Center makes no assurances about the pet or accuracy of information to potential adopters.  We provide this option as a courtesy to help owners find the best home possible.  For more information contact Gerald Bodnar at (910) 947-4451 or e-mail him at gbodnar@moorecountync.gov.  Pets must be spayed or neutered and vaccinated against rabies prior to being posted on this page.

Bruno is an Australian Brindle Hound, he is a lover not a fighter but he will do anything to protect you. He would prefer to have a mommy rather than a daddy, so if you're a dad with a daughter he is perfect because he will protect your little girl with everything he has. He also loves cuddles and will kind of body slam you for them. He likes to run and play fetch, so will be an ideal play mate at the dog park. He is potty trained and gets along with other dogs.

Goliath is a Great Dane mix. He is potty trained and when he goes outside he doesn't really like to come back in because he is basking in the sun or chilling in the shade. He also likes to watch you mow the lawn. Goliath is a pretty laid back dog that likes to sleep most of the time but when he wants to play you'll know. He doesn't really know what a cat is but he is very interested in them and he get along with other dogs.
