The Moore County Board of Commissioners invites citizens to comment regarding update of the County’s 2013 Land Use Plan at scheduled public forums or via an online comment form.
The first public forum will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 5:30pm in the auditorium at Pinecrest High School, 250 Voit Gilmore Ln., Southern Pines, NC. Doors will open at 5:00pm. Click HERE to view the public notice.
Additional public forums will be held in other areas of the County and details on those will be shared once confirmed.

The Board specifically seeks citizen input regarding:
• Preservation and protection of the ambiance and heritage of Moore County
• Enhancement of the union of the built and natural environments to improve citizen health through the use of open space and recreational
opportunities
• Optimization of the use of land within Moore County
• Accommodation for a variety of housing types
