The Moore County Board of Commissioners seeks applicants for service on the Moore County Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment is established in accordance with NCGS §160D-302 and is comprised of five members and two alternate members. Members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners and should have basic knowledge of zoning and land use. Terms of service are three years, and membership is restricted to residents of Moore County.
The Board of Adjustment convenes infrequently as needed to make decisions on variances, reasonable accommodations, and administrative appeals.
