Melinda Hill
As the Law Office/Contracts Manager Melinda manages the operational and administrative aspects of the County Attorney’s office and the preparation and processing of all County contracts. This includes the drafting of operational policies, legal documents, legal research, electronic files management and retention (except DSS), personnel records processing/management, budget oversight, financial processes/reporting, invoicing, purchases, payroll statistical reporting, office equipment oversight, maintaining office supplies and any other duties designated by the County Attorney or staff Attorneys, as necessary.
Melinda has been working for local government for over 17 years in a variety of facets including but not limited to clerical, foster care, supervisory, and human resources. She has an Associates of Arts and Science and is currently obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Business Management from Appalachian State University. She holds an IPMA-HR Certified Professional Certification and an Accounting Foundations Certificate.
In her spare time Melinda enjoys participating in pageants and currently holds the Elite Ms. Lincoln County and Mrs. Iredell County Sunshine 2023 Titles. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, being involved in her church, and a variety of community service projects.
