Jim Von Canon is a native of Moore County and is serving his first term on the Board of Commissioners. He serves on the Fire Commission, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, the Rural Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC), the Economic Task Force, the Homeless Task Force, the Law Enforcement/Veterans Task Force, and the Solid Waste Task Force., and as the Board's alternate member of the Sandhills Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Advisory Committee, and as the Board's alternate member of the Central Pines Regional Council Board of Delegates. Jim Von Canon is currently serving as the Board Vice Chairman.
