The Moore County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to increase the Room Occupancy Tax Rate from the current rate support enhanced tourism promotion efforts, benefiting the community and its businesses. Attachments/Documents : RO of 3% to a new rate of 6%, effective January 1, 2026. This increase will be effective for all bookings on or after January 1, 2026. All accommodations must apply the new tax rate to any bookings for stays beginning January 1, 2026, or later, regardless of the booking date. The County also approved a new Room Occupancy Tax Report. The new form is available on this website by choosing the Financial Services tab and then forms from the home page.
