Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Chapter 31
You may receive VR&E (Formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) services to help with job training, education, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. Other services may be provided to assist in owning a business or independent living services for those who are severely disabled and unable to work in traditional employment. Post - 9/11 GI Bill Chapter 33
The Post - 9/11 GI Bill helps you pay for school or job training. If you've served on active duty after September 10, 2001, you may be eligible for benefits if you meet at least on of these requirements:
- You served at least 90 days on active duty on or after September 11, 2001, OR
- You received a Purple Heart on or after September 11, 2001, and were honorable discharged after any amount of service, OR
- You served for at least 30 continuous days on or after September 11, 2001, and were honorable discharged with a service-connected disability, OR
- You're a dependent child using benefits transferred by a qualifying Veteran or Service member.

Transferring your Post - 9/11 GI Bill benefits
You may be able to transfer your Post - 9/11 GI Bill benefits to a dependent family member if you're on active duty or in the Selected Reserve and you meet all of the these requirements:
- You've completed at least 6 years of service on the date your request is approved, AND
- You agree to add 4 more years of service, AND
- The person getting benefits is enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)
Note: If you received a Purple Heart, you don't need to meet a service requirement. But you'll need to request to transfer your benefits while you're still on active duty.

Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (MGIB-AD)

Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR)
The Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve program offers up to 36 months of education and training benefits. If you're a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, or Air National Guard, you may be eligible for this benefits. Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program can help pay for higher out-of-state, private school, foreign school, or graduate school tuition and fees that the Post- 9/11 GI Bill doesn't cover. You may be eligible for this program if you qualify for the Post- 9/11 GI Bill at the 100% benefit level and you and your school meet certain requirements.
