Emergency Management

Mission

Our mission is to coordinate the operation and planning of the Emergency Management functions of Moore County by assisting all emergency responders with planning, training, and emergency response.

Mobile Command Center

Services

We conduct drills/exercises to test the system, maintain the Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan, and manage the Emergency Operations Center during activation.

We also have a Special Operations Team trained and equipped to respond to Hazardous Material and Technical Rescue incidents throughout Moore County.

Emergency Management maintains a 48-foot Mobile Command Center capable of acting as a backup 911 center.

Document Requests

Emergency Response Plans, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Inventory Forms received by the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) are available to be viewed by the public, by appointment, upon request to Emergency Manager/Deputy Director, Scot Brooks.
